StarCd 4 settings
 

My question is the one of a really beginner user!! I've installed StarCd on my linux pc, bun when i launch it he says:

"***ERROR*** STAR LAUNCH has not been initialized properly.

==> Please read the "README" file inside the STAR-CD installation directory."

what shall i do?

before launching Starlaunch from the shell, type: source "install_dir"/etc/setstar cd /"install_dir"/license/ lmgrd -c license.dat -l license.log lmutil lmstat -c license.dat if it doesn't work check license file or contact your support bye

you have to configure hardware.ini file located inside you Star-CD directory. You really have to read that README file:)

Maybe the first mail I've sent you is confusional. I repeat you the commands you have to launch separated by ()

before launching Starlaunch from the shell, type:

(source "install_dir"/etc/setstar)

(cd /"install_dir"/license/)

(lmgrd -c license.dat -l license.log)

(lmutil lmstat -c license.dat)

if it doesn't work check license file and make sure that the computer name and the ethernet port address is correct! you can do it using also word-pad or text-pad.

did your account manager sent you the installaiton notes?

Yeah!!! Now, i've passed that problem!! Now i can use prostar in my shell, but when i try to use the GUI this is the message:
