STAR-CCM+ shutting down error

When in the process of splitting and re-combining large numbers of boudaries (>100) STAR-CCM+ keeps shutting down. Has anyone experienced this?

Running on Windows 32 system. Going to switch to Linux dual boot on Monday.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi.. Please try to combine piece by piece.

after STAR-CCM+ shutting down, open again and if there is your work under the Server option righ click on it and chose Connect.. you will connect to your work again..

Alex,

Splitting by hundreds will cause STAR-CCM+ to crash. I offen split by patch because it is much faster than by feature curve.

You can split by patch a handful of items at a time without trouble, but do learn to save frequently. Mostly because CD-adapco is not capable of producing robust code.

If you want a fairy story then listen to adapco (not the CD part) talk about software testing.

Wow you're bitter STAR-CCM+ is a hell of a lot more robust that pro-STAR and pretty much every other CFD code I have used.....
