I would like to know if Star CD is able to simulate flows including real gas effects and which models are available, but I couldn't find information about this on their web site.

You can code your own equation of state in DENSIT, and your own enthalpy-temperature equation in four different ways (SPECHT, CONVTE, CONVET, COTEET) depending which form is most convenient. The only models/conditions which you cannot use are the ones which are explicitly reserved for ideal gas ... stagnation boundaries? Wave-transmissive boundaries?
