Sensorpoints for interpolation

Hi there, my problem is, that I need some solution-data on user-specified points, which I have given as a result of experiments. I have to valid my CFD calculations with the experiments. Do you know how I can get these values of for example velocity on this special points? Is it possible to interpolate the data from cells nearby.

I believe you are looking for the command SENSOR.
You create vertices at the required points, add them using the sensor command, load in either cell or vertex data and finally scan and print the data once again using the sensor command. If you use vertex data it will then interpolate to the point in space, cell just uses the value it is in. Which is more accurate is difficult to say as vertex data has already been averaged. If it makes a big difference your mesh was probably too coarse in theis area to begin with. The number of sensors allowed is set by the MAXPRB variable which I think is set to 200 by default. |
