how can i select the surface of a cavity inside a volume for B.C. assignment (as the face which i want to select is not open to me). mind it, not all the cell faces of the inner surface belong to the same set.(so if i "select based on Vset or egdes", not all the cells on the surface get selected).

after tht how can i ensure tht all desired cell faces have been selected...(i.e. thr r no Boundary condition 'HOLES').

frnd sm1 plz help me out.

I have a close geometry, and have creaed external volume mesh around it for drag estimation. I want to assign no-slip wall B.C. for the geometry. Thr r total 99786 faces on the wall surface, but total boundaries on the surfaces r only 99783. so thr r '3' cells on the surface which r not in the boundary and i'm not able to identify them.

plz sm1 help me, how can i select those 3 cells and assign the B.C.

thanks

the no-slip wall BC is the default boundary condition if you don't assign a BC yourself. so you should be alright unless you are running a radiation case.

if you want to find your cells, you can do the following:

vset news surf

bset all

vset dele bset

cset news vset face

hope that helps!
