parallel processing V 3.24

Hello,

I have a model using ASIs and want to run it on 10 processors simultaniously. So I have to ensure that all ASIs are on one set. So far it's right, isn't it?

But do I create those decomposition and what do I have to consider when I start the solver? Any help? Sorry couldn't find any detailed description in the forum.

Thanks,

Phil

You have to create a set-file with a manual decomposition.

You should consider, that the updating the sliding interface sometimes takes as much time as solving for the flow field. So the possible maximum speedup for this configuration would be 2 which ist not that much.

Thanks!

Well, I think I can create those file with the "writesets" command?! But those files are decomposed automatically when I start the solver or is there any other command I have to include (like "decompmeth")?

In other applications I started the solver using STARLAUNCH but in the present case thats not possible.

Thanks in advance,

Phil

For the solverrun use option '-decompmeth=s'for decomposition according to your setfile.
