Mesh in STAR-CD 4.02
 

I am using version 4.02 of STAR-CD. When I create geometry, and say generate mesh, What kind of mesh is it by default?

I think it is hexahedral mesh with trimmed cells.

If possible I can send you the mesh view in word file, so that u can help me better.

Hi. It is hexahedral mesh if no couple option. If couple option is on, then generates polyhedral mesh

the best way to mesh is to use the mesh tools in starccm+ then export to prostar. But not the other way around! ask your local support officer.

I tried that one, export a mesh from ccm+ but it had many cracks in Star-CD!!!

ccm+ sometimes creates bad meshes expecially for complex geometries.
