Hi guys,

I try to make an air simulation of an ICE using Star-CD 3.26 and a mesh created with es-ice. When I launch STAR:

"could not bind to local port cannot assign requested address"

and stop the simulation (or better, never start!!!)

Please help me

Many thanks

Eddy

If you work on Linux operating system, probably you have an old process "zombie". Use command "ps -ef", and kill the processes where you read PROSTAR or similar. Bye

Mhmhm, try to restart network services and check if rsh is active.

Another try (if you use a workstation) is to restart your pc and suddenly run the calculation. You must be sure you haven't another Ice process. In fact, you can run only one Ice-simulation for each pc. Vinny
