Default Mass residual
Posts: n/a
When I run a stedy simulation I get a mass residual one order higher that any other residual (for example 0.01 when the other ones are 1e-3). Do I need to put down the density underelaxation factor???
PS: I use UD scheme, k-eps cubic low-re hybrid wall for my calculation

Andrea, Yes you do....

Try to put 0.7 or 0.8 for the mass relaxation factor, put a standard wall function and put more pressure iteration (1000-5000). write .Prob, Restart then see what happen...

cheers, Reza

Thanks Reza, I'll do that as soon as possible but I won't use a standard wall function because I really need an hybrid wall approach... Thanks a lot!
