Cross-Section

Can i measure the cross-section area at some arbitrary section defined interactively, in prostar?? If so, please let me know how?

Re: Cross-Section

I would suggest the command INTEGRATE as in INTE CSET. This gives a variety of things including area. If you load in getc all dens it will give you mass flowrate (not as good as using fluxes but typically pretty close).

Do not put the section line on the edge of a large number of cell faces as it will double count cells from each side. For an arbitrary cut on an arbitrary mesh you should be fine.

Re: Cross-Section

Thank you James. This process needs me to run a case and then check for area, but what if i want to check the area first and then do some changes for case run.

I guess there is some command to extract the 2D shell of a section ALL mode. But i dont't remember. Could somebody help me.
