How to introduce EGR in diesel combustion simulation using STARCD-3.26

Re: EGR

Add active scalars for your EGR constituents. Initialize these with the correct mass fraction then track and update them as appropriate.

Re: EGR

It depends also on the combustion model used...what are you using?

Re: EGR

i am using EBU-LATCT combustion model

Re: EGR

search Star-CD forum, you can find all the information relevant to your question.

Re: EGR

Dear Ankur
with the EBU Latct model you need to assign specific scalar for the EGR simulation. Thay are:
18 - EGR CO2
19 - EGR H20
20 - EGR N2
Proceed with this metodology: define *set O2 0.23300
*set EO2 0.0
*set EN2 0.13775
*set ECO2 0.03661
*set EH2O 0.01712
and then
iniscalar,18,stan,ECO2,1
iniscalar,19,stan,EH2O,1
iniscalar,20,stan,EN2,1
