Hi Balduin,

Sounds make you confused.

1)You should simply take the v31 *.mdl file and read it into v406. (No error.)

2)After that you type the command "cptran all". (No error. No missing celss.)

I therefore,

3)Save .mdl in v406 (STAR-CD v406 closed automatically. Error printed at the linux console is 'line 284:5124 floating point exception'.)

The saving problem drives me to convert the file to be .cel and .vrt.

hi

im new to CFD and as i experience convergence problems in my mesh (designed using solid works and prosurf and proamm and exported to pro star), i redesigned my mesh in star design and it get converged in star design and later i export it to pro star by enabling "start pro star gui". then i tried to change the properties of the material (temperature, viscosity and density as function of time etc..) and run the .mdl file again, but once post processed, i noticed the material properties havent been changed and it remains in initial valued i entered in star design.

is it possible for us to change the parameters in pro star .mdl file which is originally generated in star design?.
can i model conduction and radiation heat transfer after getting the .mdl file and changing the parameters in pro star user guide pannel?

(i ddnt follow the standard procdure, star design -> .dbs in pro surf -> pro amm -> pro star )
