Diesel combustion simulation ( Heat release rate)

I have one doubt in starCD regarding the heat release, when I do Combustion simulation of Turbocharged diesel engine using StarCD V3.26

When I use enthalpy option (Thermal models) as "Chemico thermal" , I am not getting heat release rate values in spd.01 file.(At every crank angle during combustion period, heat release values are plotted as zero in spd.01). Since combustion involves chemical reaction, I am using "chemico thermal" option as suggested by many people.

If I use enthalpy option as "Thermal", I am getting heat release rate values. But Maximum temperature values at TDC ~2900k & average temperature inside the cylinder at TDC is 1450k. So Nox values obtained from StarCD are also higher than experimental values.

But When I use enthalpy option as "Chemico thermal" I am getting maximum temperature value at TDC below 2400k which is acceptable. Only problem when I use "Chemico thermal" is, I am not getting heat release rate values at every crank angle.

Is there is any other switch is available in Starcd 3.26 version to get heat release value? Or kindly request you to suggest me the procedure to get heat release rate values when I use "Chemico thermal" option.

Thanks in advance

hi Venkatesh
which comb model do you use for diesel
can I use EBU for diesel combustion
did you close cfm or ecfm models in esice
