License server info- where is it stored?

Hi,

I have just installed Star-CCM+ on my PC. However, during installation I entered one of the license server addresses incorrectly, and (despite re-entering it correctly) it seems to be causing problems. Namely, Star-CCM+ is unable to acquire a license at the start of a new simulation.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but the license server info is left unchanged. Therefore, I need to find where it is stored in order to edit or delete it. I've looked in the Registry (HKLM\SOFTWARE\FLEXlm License Manager\CDLMD_LICENSE_FILE) and in the Environment Variables, but these locations only hold the three correct license servers. It is the incorrect one which I am unable to locate.

I'd be extremely grateful for any input on this.

Thanks :)

Just adding a bit more info if needed- here's the contents of the License Server Information stage during installation:

A scan for license server hints found:
Registry Entries (HKLM\SOFTWARE\FLEXlm License Manager):
CDLMD_LICENSE_FILE= [Valid Server 1];[Valid Server 2];[Valid Server 3]
LM_LICENSE_FILE=
Environment Variables:
CDLMD_LICENSE_FILE= [Valid Server 1];[Valid Server 2];[Valid Server 3]
LM_LICENSE_FILE=
STARDIR=
A check for server accessability found:
[Valid Server 1] -
[Valid Server 2] -
[Valid Server 3] -
[Incorrect Server] - cannot connect to that port@host configuration

(Obviously I've replaced the actual server addresses)

Thanks

In case someone stumbles over this while googling.

On Linux the license sever info is stored in $HOME/.flexlmrc
You can also set the environment variable CDLMD_LICENSE_FILE by prepending, via export or in your bashrc.

Best,
Hendrik
