how to setup 3d wind tunnel
need help in setting up wind tunnel. do i need to prepare the wind tunnel in a cad software or i can setup in star ccm+?. how to prepare the mesh for the wind tunnel with an object inside it? please help me. i am still new in cfd. regards.

In Star-CCM+ you dont need do generate the wind tunnel in CAD.
After importing your Testing geometry, you can create a block surface around your body. If you want to model the half windtunnel, you can enter the dimensions of it and then use the function "substract" to receive a closed volume. |
thanks i will give it a try. if u dont mind, could you please write the steps? thanks.

I faced the same problem. I have a geometry of my specimen that I want to test. I placed a rectangular block over my specimen and my specimen was lost in the block. Quote:
