Streamlines -> SIGSEGV: memory access exception

Hi guys,

i am working with Star-CCM6 5.06.007 64bit on a Workstation with 16Gbyte RAM. To understand my air flow I created a Streamline displayer. This one worked for small numbers of Streamlines. If I am going to increase the number of Streamlines or the area I am interested in ,always following error appears:

"SIGSEGV: memory access exception....."

I created my geometry with Catia, imported the CAD data in CCM+, created a volume mesh there and so on.....

The simulations runs without failures, just when I try to watch streamlines the failure message appears.

What is the problem?

Need help & Thanks

sounsd like you are running out of memory. Monitor your sytem monitor and see how memory usage goes while you try to display the streamlines
