Hi All,

I am looking for someone to develop a CFD model of hydrokinetic water turbine in cross flow. The turbine will have active blade pitch control, so the model needs to accommodate both the rotation of the blades as well as changes in blade pitch with rotation. The model will be used to conduct parametric studies of the turbine and to predict moments on both the turbine shaft and blades during operation.

My thought is to start with a 2D model of the turbine, as the geometry lends itself to that, but possibly do a 3D model as well (for comparison) if time and cost permit.

I would prefer to have the model developed in COMSOL, as that is what I use for other analysis work I do and it would possibly allow me to run the model, if wanted. However, using COMSOL is not an absolute requirement, and if other CFD codes can do this work more efficiently, accurately, or cheaply, I'm all for it.

Let me know if you're interested. I am particularly looking for someone with prior experience doing similar types of analyses to this. Thanks!

Hi,
I have 8 years of experience in CFD analysis. I have performed all kinds of CFD analysis in various CFD software (Ansys CFX, Fluent, etc) .
I have performed many hydrodynamic simulation in past. To comment on your project more accurately. I need some more information. Please send me a personal mail (rohansharmafree@gmail.com) or Skype (rohansharmafree)

Regards
Rohan
