Hi All
I run a small engineering firm that help chemical companies to improve existing chemical reactors (cost reduction, increased performance.. name it) by tweaking some part of their reactor design. we use openfoam for our cfd need (of3.x and fe3.2 at the moment but we try to keep current) we use swak4foam and some python scripting as well we run our case on google compute engine and amazon. Our problems are internal flow with complicated "real life" geometry, turbulent flow, exothermic reaction porous heat exchange, multizone......) This activity is growing In order to accommodate this growth, I am wondering (as I have never been on this path before, this is a naïve & open question) if I could get some ( paid for) help from people with documented experience in order to help us - define custom solver specs (in my experience canned OF solver almost always lack a feature you need in real life context) -compiling and testing these solvers -setting up models including numerical coefficients for nonstandard systems (we are not dealing with air water and ch4 only…) and verifying them. -running model validation case. what I am thinking of is a web only interaction mode (email skype hangout ...whatever) and payments over paypal or credit card. It will not be full time job by far but I will contact you when I will have a task that appear within your field of expertise and we have no time to do it ourselves. We will also welcome postdoc or PhD looking for some freelancing "on the side" as long as their current professional/research activity requires daily interaction with OF. If somebody is interested, please contact me by private messaging. I will not answer specifics question on this thread. Cheers JF Last edited by jf_vt; July 17, 2016 at 17:40.
