nvm2011 is on a distinguished road
I am doing a simulation with the model exploded below, the whole part is in a natural convection cooling state with the air temperature of 193K,and at the interfaces consists of solid-1 and solid-3(3 interfaces),there is a heat source in every plane with a heat flux of 3000 W/m^2,I don't know how to set the heat flux at the interfaces,do i need set the heat source at the air side or the solid side?and how to set the boundary condition of the interfaces? My previous simulation results gives a rather low temperature compared with my experimental data.

Either, makes no difference. They are coupled together.

As a source term on the tab in the domain settings of the interface.

@ghorrocks,thank you for your patient explanation.but what term do i need to select in the equation source term?energy or anything else?

Yes, add a heat flux of 3kW/m^2 to the energy equation.
