mahesh9 is an unknown quantity at this point
i have to apply boundary conditions for a straight pipe with same diameter through out with 1 inch length and .35 inches dia.

flow rate =.00026
velocity=4.2
inlet pressure 5000psi
fluid =skydrol
i want to get the outlet pressure
when i am giving static pressure the solver is considering the total pressure also the same.this flow is through hydraulic system and it s outlet is not in contact with atmosphere.
while defining fluid domain what should be the relative pressure for this particular case.????

tauqirnawaz is on a distinguished road
I presume the flow rate is in [kg/s] and velocity is in [m/s].
Because this is very short length of pipe, you would have to define your boundary conditions away from the actual ones i.e increase the length of the pipe. You can define inlet as mass flow while the outlet as an opening.

Mahe - firstly, please do not PM me duplicate of your posts. Do not turn your posts into spam.

Following on from Raja's comment - your pipe is so small that the flow will be dominated by upstream and down stream effects. You cannot model a 1 inch by 0.35 inch diamater pipe in isolation and hope to get meaningful answers.
