Solid-Liquid Suspensions
Hi every all
I want simulate solid-liquid suspension via Eulerian-Eulerian method in CFX.Which of the below models are appropriate for this work? 1)Continuous Fluid (for liquid)-Continuous Fluid (for solid) 2)Continuous Fluid (for liquid)-Dispersed Fluid (for solid) 3)Continuous Fluid (for liquid)-Dispersed Solid (for solid) |
Obviously option 3. Options 1 and 2 model the solids as a liquid and are therefore not appropriate.

But if this is in reference to your other post about nano particles then the answer is none of them are appropriate.

Yes,this answer refer to modeling of nanofluid via Eulerian-Eulerian method and since,Eulerian-Eulerian method is a two-fluid model, therefore i think,it's better to simulate both phases as continuous fluid. What is your opinion?

I have already written my opinion so many times I am getting sick of saying it yet again. You cannot model nanoparticles as a multi-phase model. They cannot be considered a phase. So forget about eular-eular multiphase models and use an approach suitable for nanoparticles.
