Radiosity-FEM method - light source simulation
I am master's degree student and in my work I'll need to do a simulation of light source in ANSYS.
I read several articles about light source simulating by ANSYS through the Radiosity-FEM method.
I would appreciate any help.
I need some information about the light source modeling and simulation by ANSYS using thermal radiation:
1st) Is it possible to do a radiation simulation (DT or MC method) in ANSYS Mechanical (multiphisics) or only in ANSYS CFD?
2nd) I didnt found any tutorial of thermal radiation simulation using Discrete Transfer or Monte Carlo, somebody have any example or tutorial?

I am confused. Are you modeling radation through a participating fluid medium?
If not, are you confusing ANSYS mechanical terms and CFX methodologies?

yes, i think there is a participating fluid medium, as you can see at some pictures in article that i read.
This is one paper abstract:
"Paper presents usage of the R-FEM method in the CFX environment. The R-FEM method was used for modeling of special light sources and to compute lighting of surfaces from these sources with very good results. ...For modeling of the light sources in the CFX environment was used combination of the Finite Volume Method and the radiation method which are included with the CFX (The Discrete Transfer Model and The Monte Carlo Model)."
