Material properties variation

Please, In my analysis I tried to include a solid domain wich its properties :the heat conductivity and density are dependent of temperature and spacial position, therefore the CFX solver send an erro message where it informes that the material properties can't be dependent of temperature and position f(T,y) . Do you have any suggestion ?!!

thanks !!

The error message is clear - you cannot do this. The reason is this generates additional cross-terms which are not incorporated in the solver and therefore the accuracy cannot be guaranteed. You might be able to get around this by editting the RULES file you do this at your own risk - no guarantees of anything if you do that.

Hello, this topic should teach you how to modify your RULES file.

http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/cfx...ple-solve.html

Check post #15.

The path to the file is: C:/Program Files/ANSYS Inc/v130/CFX/etc. There should be a file named RULES... you can edit it by opening as text.

Remember to backup the file before doing it!

Good luck.
