Hi Glenn,
I am trying to do a basic simulation. I want to simulate a water droplet on a solid surface at equilibrium (steady state) and input the corresponding surface energy values (solid-liquid, solid-air, liquid-air) and want to see whether the simulation provides me the same contact angle that can be obtained from Young's equation for contact angle. I cannot find any option to input the solid-liquid surface energy. How can I do this simulation? Is it possible to do what I am trying to do? Thank you! |

Please do not post unrelated questions on other threads. I have moved this question to a new thread for you. Please do not do this again.
I do not know of any CFD software which allows you to enter surface energies to give you contact angle or free surface motion. So I do not think the simulation you have in mind is possible in any current CFD software - unless you want to write the software yourself.
