CFD simulation of Progressive cavity Pump

hi
Which CFD software is best and easiest for the simulation of progressive cavity pump? The CFD software available with me are STAR CCM+, CFX and Fluent. Out of this i know STAR CCM+ and CFX.

Trial both software and work out for yourself which is better. Sweeping generalisations like "which software is better" rarely get useful answersm - you have to look at your specific case to see what handles it best.

Thank you for response sir. This question i asked because earlier i did 2D moving mesh in ic engine using star cd. with my little knowledge in CFD it seems to be for engine related problems star cd is better than cfx.

For IC engine modelling I think we can comfortably make the generalisation that Star-CD is better than CFX. You only have to look at the literature on IC engine modellign to see that.

But Fluent versus Star-CD is a close comparison. The new IC engine setup macros in workbench certainly make setting up in Fluent easier.
