pressure-swirl atomizer spray simulation

Before i do this simulation, i have done some literate work and figured out how to do post analysis.
Because i want to do a simulation with time dependent BC, i chose to use CFX which has powerful CEL.

But i have'n't found anybody do pressure-swirl atomizer spray simulation. So
it is tricky.

Up to now, i have some questions.
For my simulation,PTM model with main-break up and second beak up model is the obvious option.

And think the settings of the drag model/main-break up model/second beak up model is most important.

But there are so much sub-settings that it seems impossible to do all the sensitivity analysis. And some of the model is so complex that i can't understand related settings?

How can i effectively handle these settings. any advice ,thank you.

What are you trying to get out of this model? I do not understand what sort of results you are looking for.

It is a spray simulation.
I wanna to get SMD and the particle diameter distribution.

Are you happy to get the droplet diameters from models like LISA?

Nobody said CFD was meant to be easy. Your best chance to do a good simulation is to do a good literature study to start off and find out how the models work and how other people have applied them. Then you will know what is important.

Yes, i wanna to use LISA model as main break-up model, not good?
I did some literature work and will go on doing and find out how the models work and how other people have applied them.

LISA is fine, I just wanted to know whether you wanted to use a breakup model (eg LISA) or if you wanted to directly model the breakup process with a free surface model. So in your case it seems the breakup model is what you want.

There is a lot of literature on LISA and other spray breakup models. They should give you some idea of how to drive them.

Thank you.
I am clear about what model should i use, but not clear about the related sub settings.
Next week is Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, i have a week holiday.
I will do some literature work at home before i come back to school:)

Yes, the literature is always the starting point when you are doing a new simulation.
