Hi

I would like to have the tutorial input files of following CFX tutorials.

1. Free surface flows over a bump
2. Gas -liquid flow in a airlife reactor
3. Multiphase flow in a mixing vessel
4. Oscillating plate with 2 way fluid structure interaction
5. Time Transformation method for a inlet disturbance case

If anybody has the input files (e.g. mesh files) please upload it ..
or you can mail me.

Thanks for your help.

You should have the tutorial files if you have CFX installed.

Check C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\v145\CFX\examples

Will vary if you are not running 14.5.

I didn't even know 14.5 was out already. I'll have to check what updates there are from 14.0. I remember reading something about parallel meshing, but that may have been 15.

14.5 was actually just released today (http://anss.client.shareholder.com/r...leaseID=720797). I didn't realize that it wasn't out yet when I posted, as I was fortunate enough to get a bit of a sneak preview a few weeks ago.

What about the input files to ICEM CFD? Could you help us to locate the input files (geometry) to them as well?

Ansys Customer's Portal or Torrents.

The tutorial files are no longer included in the installation. They are now on the ANSYS customer website (https://support.ansys.com/portal/sit...CustomerPortal). I just checked and there is 60 ICEM tutorials available so you have lots to play with.

I'm looking for input file of "Flow Inside a Rotating Cavity"
"VMFL008B_rot_cyl.def for ANSYS CFX" or "rotcv_RRF.cas for ANSYS Fluent"
but I did not find it in ANSYS EXAMPLE FOLDERs
Has any one these files or know how can I find them?

For older versions of CFX the tutorial files are provided with the installation. If you do not have them then re-install and put them on.

For recent versions of CFX (V17 or V18 I think) the tutorials are available on the ANSYS Customer webpage.

There is no need to email files to anybody, the files are easily available to any legitimate user of CFX.

Hi Glenn, thanks for your time. I'm using an academic license for the 2020 release of CFX, but realized that all the tutorial input files are transfered to the customer portal. I tried to register for the portal, but found the academic license is not eligible for the registration. Is there any way you may help with? Thanks in advance.

I would be in breach of my ANSYS license conditions if I did that. Have a look at the resources available in the ANSYS Academic pages, there is quite a lot of free stuff there. Also you will find lots of people have put their own tutorials on the web (of varying quality, of course).
