question about cfx wall function

Hi, Everybody,

Do you have an idea about how CFX judges the wall region? In that case, I can notice calculated value on specific nodes are solved by these governing equations or modelled by wall function.

In CFX moddeling guide, it gives a rough ideal which can be determined by or close to boundary thickness. However, I don't think the solver will use this very rough estimation.

It is also suggested by theory guide that the upper limit of Y+ is a function of device Reynolds number, but no further information.

Thank you
Piyo

I do not understand your question. Are you asking about how the rough wall model works? Or how it chooses what wall condition to use? Or what y+ ranges is suitable?
