2D Tank Sloshing

Hello,
My name is Rajesh. I am carrying out a 2D simulation of sloshing in tanks. Could I please know how can I make the tank to undergo linear motion and how to measure variables like pressure at a particular point. I would really appreciate if you could please help me out.
Kind Regards, :)

Hi Rajesh,

There are two ways to do this:
- The first is to create an expression for gravity so that the gravity vector changes according to the linear motion you want to simulate. You can do this by writing some simple CEL Expressions.
- The second one is to use a moving mesh. In this case you'll create a sub-domain that includes your entire domain, and at this sub-domain you'll prescribe the linear motion that you want.

You should start by studying the tutorials that come with CFX. After you've done that you'll know how to implement either of the suggestions.

Cheers

Thanks a lot for that, Bruno. :)
