Meshing at transitions

Hi Forum!

Im from Germany and just started learning ANSYS CFX (13.0). Right now Im designing a tube with a rib for some flow simulation and have a question concerning the meshing. Lets say the tube has meshing size of 4 (just an example). The rib shall have a size of 1 because I want to see exactly what happens. The problem is: I learned that direct transitions from different sizes are bad for the result.
How can I design smooth transitions like size 4 -> small range of 3~2 -> 1. Which options do I have to use? It would be nice if you have some easy tips, remembering that Im a total beginner ;)

Best regards
Saskia
