Import to Bladegen
Hello all my friends
I want to create wind turbine blade in bladegen, We know that it has twist in its length and contain many type of airfoils (in my problem 10 sections)
I have two request from you
please tell me
A)Is it possible to import the coordinate of airfoil in .txt format and set it for any section?(I try for this but it gives me error:confused:)
B)Is it possible to create blade with twist?

- In BladeGen Data Import Wizard you may load *.txt files (sections) and mark separated group of point as a unique blade layers.
- Blades twist is in BladeGen possible.

I can't do import *.txt . Please give me a brief help for do it.

1. Open BG GUI.
2. File > New > Data Import Wizard
3. in 2nd step "Gather Geometry" add *.txt files.
4. Points format *.txt files (for each profiles) is:
(1.00 0.00 1.00)
(1.20 0.10 1.50)
(1.20 0.40 2.50)

Thank you Ludvik Lanicek for your attention
I do it but in step 2 I import an airfoil and it want me Hub and shroud
this picture is its picture

And for import separately three airfoil ,it gives me error too!

I write 1 , 2 ,3 for easy to help me
Please help me
Thank you

Hub is surface of pylon.
Shroud is surface of revolution between static and rotating domains in CFD simulation.

Thank you for your quick answer
but I don't know have to select them
please tell me which point or surface must be selected in this picture?
Thank you

Ludvik February 1, 2013 08:27

Hub and Shroud represent separated (new) curves.

For wind turbine I select shroud ,green line and hub blue line (in picture)
Is it true ?
what's standard distance between end of blade and shroud ?
Thank you my friend

I select the hub and shroud like this

hasbi February 1, 2013 13:04

I give the hub and shroud as above picture!!!!!
If I give (1) in below picture, it gives me error (8) (its procedure in picture)
If I select (2) in picture , result is below shape!!!!!!!
I think my hub and shroud is incorrect!
help me
thanks for your patience

Hello Mr. Hasbi,

I would like to know how you selected the meridional curve.
