hello,
i m new to cfd. rit now im working for erosion analysis of the pump in CFX.
can anyone help me
1. how to implement material properties to the model which was imported from catia.
2. how to apply boundary conditions
here r the properties of the pump
working pressure of the pump- 400bar
inlet dia- 7mm
outlet dia- 2.8mm
roughness of the wall - 4.5 microns

Dear Ashwin k,

you can create your own materials and also use some default materials when you set up your simulation in the preprocessor.

You can also set boundary conditions for the surfaces of your geometry in the preprocessor by rightclicking on them and add boundary conditions.

whether i have to velocity or the pressure
in ansys tutorials there was a problem in which they specified velocity at the inlet and average static pressure at the outlet when i had given to my problem domain it didnt work.
velocity - 92mm/s
pump operates at pressure- 400 bar
