Some questions about domain interface

Hi,guys.
I create a domain interface part(a surface) of fluid domain, is this part has two sides(side1, side2) in CFX-pre settings?what's the meaning of side1 and side2?
Thanks a million!

An interface is a type of boundary condition on a domain. The conditions on side1 are simply mapped across to side2, so the interface is transparent to the fluid. But numerically speaking it is a boundary condition.
