add source terms in CFX

Hi there

I have got a problem about adding folder of source terms in CFX and hope someone can help me figure it out.

I want to modelize a fan by adding sources termes (Energy, X-momentum, Y-momentum and Z-momentum) in the leading edge's plane.

I have 4 folders momentumX.csv, momentumY.csv,momentumZ.csv,Energysources.csv when I have for each coordinate a value, it looks like :

Quote:

[Name]
Xmomentum

[Spatial Fields]
x, y, z

[Data]
x [ m ],y [ m ],z [ m ],x_momentum [ Pa m^2 ]

My question is how to insert those folders ? CFX offer the possibility to add one source point, but in the case of my projet I have more than 1000 points.

My geometry is :

Any comments are welcome.

Best regards!

Use a volume source term for this application. Define a volume in your mesh and assign a source term to it. The source term can vary as a function of XYZ so this will do what you need.

Thank you a lot for your reply.

As you said, I create a volume in my mesh as shown in this picture :
http://i74.servimg.com/u/f74/10/09/23/89/captur11.jpg

but now in CFX, I don't see how to insert the folders like I've shown in my first message. I only find the option to insert a X,Y,Z momentum component (only one value) or an expression which is not the case of my problem. I'm wondering if it's possible to initilaze by a profil data like the inlet boundary condition cvs's folder in the tutorial (Chapter 11: Flow Through a Butterfly Valve).

thanks in advance :)

Im pretty sure you can include profile data in the input for the momentum components. Initialize your .csv file, and enter something like Xmomentum.x_momentum(x,y,z) for the X component (I used the names from your example).
