Total pressure or static pressure

What is the recommended approach - to consider total pressure (or) pressure (static pressure) while plotting the contours in cfd post.

If you want to look at total pressure then I recommend you use total pressure contours. If static pressure is more of interest to you then draw contours of static pressure.
What I am trying to say is that you look at the variable which is going to tell you information about what you are trying to find out. For some cases that is total pressure, for some static pressure. |
