Hi,

I have completed a transient simulation and I am viewing the transient statistics. One of the variables is "Velocity Transient Average" for the entire run time which starts at 0 seconds and ends at 10 seconds.

How do I obtain the value of a "Velocity Transient Average" which starts at 2 seconds and ends at 10 seconds (instead of starting at 0 seconds and ending at 10 seconds which the variable "velocity.trnavg" does)?

Is there a CEL expression that can give me the average velocity in the range of 2 to 10 seconds?

Thank you

You can set up the start and end times for transient statistics when you set the run up. Looks like it cannot be done in post processing - unless you ouput the variable to a monitor point and do the averaging yourself.

Thanks for the reply.

I was hoping for an easy fix! It seems bizarre that Ansys have the feature where by you can record transient statistics in Pre, but you can't easily select for which time steps you want to have those statistics recorded for!

I understand in Pre you can tell the solver to start recording the statistics for a start and end iteration list. However the iteration list do not equal simulation time! My point being there isn't easy an option to tell CFX to start recording transient statistics after X amount of simulation seconds except from actually stopping the simulation after X amount of simulation seconds, going back into pre, turning the transient statistics on, and then restarting the simulation from where you left of.

Sorry for the rant.
