ICEM CFD - Remeshing - Basic
 

Hi,

I have a problem to get the remeshing starting.
I'm actually testing the well known "ANSYS Tutorial: CFX Re-Meshing" tutorial:

I have allready checked my settings twice but I can't find the reason for the following behaviour:
The solver stops when the interrupt condition is "reached" but then no remeshing occurs - the solver finished.
In CFD-Post I can see the box moving until the stop.

So, what could be the reason for that? I'm deeply grateful for help.

Hi Bill,

I'm having similar problems as well. CFX executes the interruption routine but then doesn't carry out the remeshing. Have you found a solution for this yet?

***yes, but it was related to my PC setup - not to my experimental setup.
If you use Windows: Try to remove the ICEM path variabel from your windows environment variabels - it was somethink like ICEM_ROOT or ICEM_CFD_ROOT or just ICEM_CFD (I don't know the exact name, anymore).***

Sorry, this was the reason of another problem.
The "non starting remeshing" problem occured when I used the "Essential" and "Low Speed Most Compression" options in the output control. I switched it to the Default settings and everything worked. But I don't know the exact crucial part ("Results", "Trn Results", ...)...
