Hi friends,

I am still learning CFX Turbogrid and have completed examples.
I am given a blade profile of stator blade and when I input bladegen file, The geometry appers to be like the one in the image attached. The The leading edge of the blade is sitting on the hub and I am unable to define topology because the periodic surface to too close for O grid generation around the blade.

Can anyone please help me solve this problem ?

Thanks a lot

Hi friend,

I don’t know if i understand your problem the right way. Looks like the upper right control point in your picture is too close to the blade edge. You can move it by clicking at it and then enter new coordinates (axial, radial normally). Should be discussed in one of the tutorials if I remember right.

Cheers!

The problem is in your mesh, so if you can't change your mesh then you are stuck.

You mean I have to change the mesh settings from turbogrid?

Your mesh has turned inside out. CFX cannot work with a mesh like that and has no way of fixing it. You have to go back to whereever you made the mesh and fix it there.

(I am assuming that you are not using moving mesh and that the mesh was generated like this)
