Hi guys I would like do make a CFD to evaluate the lift on a Wing of a little airplane ( the area of this wing is around 1 m^2). But I need to make the analyses on AOA =4.5 deg this is my problem!

I'm using CFX and I've Already created the enclosure around the Wing and the mesh too. I've used expressions on CFX to define AOA and the initial velocity (actually the velocity is a constant). And I've defined Ux e Uy the velocity o axis X and Y Ux = velocityXcos(AOA)
Uy =velocityXsin(AOA)

but every time that I put this program to run something wrong happened. and the simulations is stopped

someone have an idea? let me know it
Please I need help!!!

The ANSYS CFX solver exited with return code 1. No results file has been
created.

I think something is wrong in the boundary conditions or initialization.

CFX gives you information on grid quality. Angle should be >18 and two more parameters.

1. check these quality metrics for mesh.

2. Check scaling of domain. In other words, if you have have made the geometry in mm, again you must have same units after importing mesh to CFX Pre.

3. Boundary conditions. Check them carefully. Especially while defining the angle of attack.

4. Are you using auto time scale?

Yes I'm using auto time scale, I couldan't? Boundary conditions I´ve difined Inlet as u = Ux
V = Uy
W = 0
Outlet = 0 Pa
and the other surfaces including de surface of the wing as Wall.

Another informations guys when I use just one velocity in Inlet boundary as 20m/s the simulations no problem!!!
Someone have a tutorial for me ?

ghorrocks is just really niceghorrocks is just really niceghorrocks is just really niceghorrocks is just really nice
CFX comes with tutorials, the ANSYS Customer page has more and CFX support has even more examples.
