You can see a rotating channel, it rapresent a rotaing valve
that block the fluid flow running along the external pipe.

First I tought to model the rotating pipe with a rotating domain, but
the problem is the interface,
The rotating domain has an interface first with the fluid of the principal
channel and with the rotation, the interface switch to the solid ring that
close the principal fluid flow.

With CFX I wasn't able to configure a similar interface....
any advice ?????

Thankyou

This is easy to implement.

The rotating pipe is put in a rotating frame of reference, the rest in a stationary frame of reference. Then you define a GGI with one side of the GGI contains both ports of the rotating pipe, and the other side contains both sides of the stationary pipe. You set the GGI as transient rotor stator with no pitch correction and you are done!

hallo Glenn, thanks for your reply,
you mean a thing like this, without the metal ring ???

With or without the metal ring it is easy to implement.
