Hi Everyone,

I would like to ask some help or advice; I'm trying to simulate a water separator device. The goal is to separate different moisture from the main airflow. The simulations of the ice particles have worked properly, but when I tried to model the behaviour of larger water droplets (with ~2.5 mm diameter), at the results, the water droplets were bounced all over the duct, instead of breaking up on the walls.
I used CFX with air ideal gas and water particle transport fluid settings, the buoyancy was set on with the gravitational acceleration and the reference density of the air, and the water buoyancy model was set to density difference, the fluid pair models were the following:
fully coupled; surface tension coeff.=7.56 N/M; Schiller Naumann drag force model was applied; with Schmehl breakup model and Schmehl Dynamic Drag Law; and for the particle Collision the COR was set to 0.1.
The airflow has high Reynolds number, the average velocity is over 80 m/s.
Could anyone suggest some modification to eliminate this bouncing effect?
Thank you for instance,
György
