I am mainly using ANSYS Workbench and ANSYS CFX environment. Intel (R) Xeon CPU X5690 is very slow especially loading and meshing file. Does anyone have the same problem with me? How could I solve this problem?

If the file is big then you have to expect a long load time.

Loading files is also related to the hard drive and/or network speeds. Also virus checkers can cripple it. Meshing is mainly a function of CPU speed, but hard drive speed can be important if it is using swap memory. Also, the latest versions of CFX are faster then older versions. Which version of CFX are you using?

Big CFD simulations (including the setup of them) are slow and take lots of time.

Thank you very much for your reply. I use Workbench 14.5.7. The best way that I chose is to change hard disk drive. But I don't know the definition of big file in ANSYS CFX. 1Gbyte or 500Mbyte?...

CFX uses many different files throughout the simulation process. Which file are you referring to?
