2-way ANSYS-CFX FSI reaction force calculation on solid

Hi Everyone,

I am doing an FSI simulation with ansys and CFX where I apply a displacement over a certain area of a pipe-like structure (where there is no fluid) and I want to see the behavior of the fluid and calculate the required force. Find attached a view of how my worbench looks like.

The question is how can I calculate the force that I have to exert on the solid part. I have read that you can calculate the force on the fluid surfaces using for instance force_x()@NameOfSurface but doing so with the name of the surface where the displacement boundary condition is applied returns 0 when it can't be that.

Thank you very much!

hi
can you find the answer? because i have this question too?

Are you sure your NameOfSurface is on the fluid side?

If I understand you just vant the force on the pipe than just use your fluid wall location as force on area is obtained from flow properties like Pressure and visqus forces like shear.
