Monitor Averaged Value of a Quantity on a Surface

In Fluent, we can define a plane or surface and monitor the convergence of the average value (e.g. mass weighted average, area weighted average, etc) of a quantity during the calculation. Can we do the same thing in CFX? I could only find monitor point in CFX and that is only monitoring the convergence of the value of the quantity at a particular point (not average across a surface).

Yes, you can do this. Assuming the surface object you want to average over is called "Surface", then set a monitor point with the CEL expression:
areaAve(u.residual)@Surface I think that will work. I might have the wrong variable name for the residual, better check that. |
