Dear all. I am modelling fluid flow within a moving wall pipe from 0 to 1 s. At time 0.32 s, I got negative volume error due to the large mesh displacement. I split the analysis into analysis I from 0 to 0.3 s and analysis II from 0.3 s to 1 s. For analysis II, I want to generate a new mesh and restart my simulation. Can anyone help me to do that please.
Thanks AshtonJ |

If you have a known remeshing point then it is easy - move the geometry to that position, mesh it and generate a new mesh file. Then do the simulation number I, then start simulation number II using the results from of simulation I as an initial condition. Easy.

Thanks Glenn. At the end of analysis I (t=0.3s), the geometry is contacted, how I can move this geometry from CFX to Meshing to generate a new mesh. Sorry, I am not familiar with remeshing at all, I looked up remeshing tutorials, all I found is for ICEM CFD not for workbench!

My previous comment assumed the motion is known in advance, so you can simply move the geometry into that position in the solid modeller/meshing package.
If this is not the case then you need to consider dynamic remeshing. For this go to the ANSYS customer webpage for tutorials on how to do this. |

Thanks Glenn. Today, I looked at all tutorials in ANSYS customer website, but could not find any tutorial for CFX remeshing. If you have already seen the CFX remeshing tutorial, can you please let me know the title of that tutorial. I also contacted leap Australia today, but they said what they have is for Fluent remeshing not CFX!
