We have CFX Pre, Solver and Post installed under windows which means only one user has access to the complete suit at any one time.
If we re-install under linux will it be possible for different users to use components? eg one user using Pre and Post while the other user is using the Solver both users being logged into the same machine.

Thanks in advance!

The restriction on how many things you can run at once is from your license, not the operating system. You can run as many processes as your license allows - it makes no difference whether it is on linux or windows.

Hi ghorrocks,

Thanks for the reply,
We have a "static" licence so the software is tied to the machine (MAC address). But with multiply user profiles it is possible to open different components of the software under different user profiles however switching the profile locks the keyboard etc

If we were to install virtual machine software and two parallel operation systems would it be possible for two people to work on the same machine using different components of the software? eg one user meshing while another user is postpro-ing?
