Add material to a domain

Hello!
I am trying to model a porous material. And when I try to add the material I created, in the soil domain, It doesn't appear on the list. I have created this material within different lists such as "the user list" which doesn't appear in the options to add and within other lists... obtaining the same result

You may need to explain the steps you are going through for someone to help you.

For example, have you tried just copying an existing material with a different name and see if you can add it. If you are able to, you can then start changing one attribute of the material at a time.

It seems that adding a copy and then modifying it works
