Eulerian - Eulerian and Particle Tracking
 

I have a Pelton turbine (2 bucket) simulation where I have water jet injected into the rotating runner domain which is essentially filled with air and I use the homogeneous model with free surfaces,

It has been suggested that I use particle tracking to look at where the flow field goes when it leaves the runner, however as many threads have suggested I cannot use particle tracking with Eulerian -Eulerian continuous phases,

It has been suggested to me that I can add particles and then edit the CCL file to delete one of the fluid pairs Air|Particles and add an expert parameter so that the particles are disregarded when they pass through the air water vol fraction = 0.5, almost 'tricking' CFX.

Does this seem like a sensible option and/or do you have any advice,

If you want to see where the water goes you just draw the volume fraction. No need for particles.

If you want to see where a specific blob of water goes, then put a marker in as an additional variable and let it convect around in the flow. Then you can view the marker in the post processor.

So you probably do not need to use particles to do what you want.
