Dear All,
I am trying to simulate a Generator for My master thesis (Fluid and Heat transfer).
My geometry consist of some solid bodies and fluids one.
After importing geometry to ansys geometry and making all parts "form as part" and generating mesh when I want to import mesh to pre-CFX I see this error:
"Application error in CFX-pre"
"attempt to create an interface map between non matching face meshes"
I would appreciate it if anyone know the reason of this error and how I should fix it.
Best regard,
Mehrdad

Hello Mehrdad and other ANSYS cfx folks,

I am also generating this error. Which ANSYS support considered quite "strange" as I have a single, conformally meshed part (still with many bodies within it).

A temporary workaround that was suggested is:
1) saving the mesh as a fluent file
2) Importing the fluent mesh into cfdx pre

This method allowed me to bypass the error, and load my mesh into cfx-pre. One thing to note is that named selections need to be applied beforehand because otherwise selecting single walls and bodies will not be possible when doing the set-up in cfx-pre.

Hope that helps someone!

Amy
