Have you waited for about two hours to finish cfx solver manager? I ran 6 CPUs parallel calculation and push red stop button. It takes two hours to see the stop icon on the screen. What is the problem? The nodes number is 7.2million and elements are about 41million.Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E6-2643 v2@3.5GHz 3.5 GHz 64bit Windows 7 Professional OS.

Well, if your mesh is 41 million cells it might take some time to write the .res file. Two hours does sound a bit long though. Do you max out on RAM memory? Slow hard drive?

How long does it take per iteration? I run CFX on a similar system to yours but across 8 cores and anything above 45 million elements is very slow even for the simplest operations because it max's out the memory.
